Faculty of Engineering & Technology

Welcome to Department of Printing Technology

The Department of Printing Technology is one of the premier departments in the field of Printing Technology in India. It was established in the year 1996 with a motive to impart high quality teaching & practical exposure to the prospective students. Printing Technology is a matured field, where as Packaging Technology is relatively a new concept and it is growing at 15% per annum in India, it is also projected to grow even more in coming years. State of art facilities are created in the department to provide complete practical exposure to the students along with regular summer trainings, industrial visits, live project work, seminar, workshops, conferences and expert lectures are conducted at a regular interval of time. Placement of the students is one of the major plus point of the department and continuous efforts are carried out so that each student gets proper care and attention during the study tenure and even after completion of the course also.

OBJECTIVE :The technology of Printing has revolutionized in last two decades with the introduction of digital electronics, high speed printing machines, quality oriented pre-press and post press processing. It has changed the whole scenario of print and package production and newspaper printing. However, there is an acute shortage of techno-crats in the field of printing and packaging to manage the sophisticated machinery. The shortage has been felt in India as there is no institute which has been developed for producing high quality technical man-power in printing and allied fields. Responding to this market requirement, the University has introduced a Two - year M. Tech. Printing Technology course with the goal to combine excellence and research with service to the society and for providing the opportunity of higher study in this field first time in india.
